HOW TO DO A “SELF PORTRAIT”

WITH YOUR CELL PHONE, THERE IS 2 WAYS TO DO A SELF PORTRAIT:

1- THE “SELFIE”

Those who own a cell camera have probably taken lots of “selfie’s”. And that is certainly an easy way to do a “self portrait”. Have you ever noticed that the person taking the photo is missing a hand? So many people without hands today.

Is that really a portrait, or a “selfie”? The better way is to do a portrait of yourself, and a lot of people don’t know you can still do that with your cell phone.

Check out your own cell phone for the following options:

  1. A self timer. A regular camera has this, where you can set up your camera, and run around and get in your own picture. Some cell phones have that as well. I was surprised that mine does not.
  2. Remote control capability: With remote control, you can have the remote with you and push a button and the camera or phone will snap the picture. My phone is the Samsung Note Plus, and the pen acts as a remote control to help with this function.

When you use a remote control or a self timer, you will get your hand back! Yay!!

One thing that will help you is to use a tripod. They make a tripod for a cell phone and it isn’t really that expensive:

These range from $10 to $100 and I have one that I purchased for $17.95 and it works great. Check it out on Amazon to get the best variety.

So, get your hand back! Let the world know you still have 2 hands!
