HAVE FUN WITH LETTERS AND SIGNS:

Photo taken by Lanny Cottrell – smartphone – smart photographer

There is definitely one advantage we have to carrying our mobile “camera” with us everywhere. And that is immediate capture. When we see something funny, sad, strange, or whatever, you can practically jump out of your car and capture the image you saw.

When taking a photo of a sign, it is always good to get a bit of it’s surroundings, so it actually looks like a real sign, that you captured in it’s environment. Before you leave the area, make sure you captured the image on your phone, in the gallery. Why? It’s just something that will be a good conversation piece for a long time.

When you see a strange sign, that will certainly cause a smile, you should stop by and just take that picture. You then share it on social media, and you may become a famous person, or something that people will look to find amazing photos.

The big thing you will learn as you stop and capture these funny signs, is that you will at some other time, start recognizing some beautiful photos that you will like:

If you start practicing taking funny photos that you see all the time as your driving around, you will start seeing the art, the beauty that you drive by every day. It is all just called practice.

Could finding all these funny signs and posters, eventually lead to capturing photos like this:

Yes, it can. It is exciting when you realize what you just did, too. So, keep looking for good things to just take photos of.

Photographic inspirational quote of the day:

If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.
